Who is Matthew Linn?
As a local businessman, property owner, and community activist, I want to give back to my neighborhood and parish. I promise to you, my fellow District 4 residents, to wisely distribute current operating funds, and to maintain or improve our safe and secure bond rating, “one of the lowest in the state at AA3.”
I promise to be directly involved in increasing communication and planning between the Juvenile Justice System / Caddo Parish Children Youth Services Planning Board, and Caddo Parish School Board, with the desired effect of bringing our efforts together for common good.
As a pet owner and animal rights activist, I promise to better utilize the spay-and-neuter and rabies-and-vaccination programs already available to the residents of Northwest Louisiana, by bringing greater awareness to their safety through fun educational programs delivered to the areas most in need. By reducing the reproductive animal population, the shelter would no longer have to put as many animals to sleep. Money thus saved could be put towards holding animals longer. Nobody wants to lose a pet on the first day of his or her vacation, then go to the pound on the first day home only to find out that it was put down the day before!
As a local business owner, I know that good business begets good business, so all government entities must work together for safe and sound community residential and business growth, both economically and ecologically.
My dream goal is a community bicycle program with bicycle lanes through District 4 into downtown.
Matthew Linn is:• Your neighbor in District 4
• A property owner in District 4
• A successful business owner in District 4
As a concerned neighbor I stand for the quality of life in District 4 and Caddo Parish.
As a tax paying property owner I stand for community safety and fiscal responsibility.
As a successful business owner I stand for economic growth and increased collaboration between city, parish and state government to minimize duplication of efforts and wasteful spending.
I believe issues of ecology, education, recreation and animal welfare that are under the scope of the Parish Commission, must addressed in coming years. As your next commissioner, I will dedicate the time and energy to study and open these issues to public scrutiny.
